Many Reading the Book of Mormon

 Oct 31, 2016
This past week!

This past week was really great. I learned a ton. Even when you are finishing your mission you continue to learn sooo much!

This past week our investigator, Alicia, told us that she is carrying her Book of Mormon in her bag with her everywhere and that this past week she carried it with her as she took her son to a choir practice in his Adventist church. She was there and she was reading the Book of Mormon trying to cover up the cover so that the people couldn’t see. ha-ha

Then, Itati is reading the Book of Mormon also and she said that she really likes it. This past week we talked about the word of wisdom. She had a lot of questions and she wants to follow it, and she is praying to see if she should be baptized!

We also found Yessica who is an old investigator of the Elders from like a year ago. She is 16 and she is super cool! And she is now reading the Book of Mormon! We invited her to be baptized on the 3rd of December and she said yes! So we are working a lot with her, she is super great!

Blanca, is like 40 and has 6 kids. She is so great and is reading and praying about the Book of Mormon.

This past week we got a referral from a sister in a different ward. It is her nephew. She sent us there. He is a 20 year old kid. He has problems with drugs and is kind of a vago, as we say here. So we went by to see him. He lives with his grandparents. We talked to him and he was super nice, and super receptive and we made another date to go by. The member’s sister sent us a text message afterwards that her mom (the grandma of the kid) called her and was crying the whole time and was so thankful that we had passed by and that we are going to visit her nephew. The grandparents are evangelical, but this is an opportunity for all of them to find the restored gospel! But the text message from the sister was super touching, and you realize how much the people need our help!

We have been dejando investigadores and finding new ones, and we have found some really good ones!

All is well!

Oh, today we received a call from the assistance that four sister missionaries had been kicked out of their house and needed a place to stay. So two of those sisters, beginning this afternoon, are coming to live with Hermana Huarcaya and I, for probably like 2 weeks, and the other two are going to rent a little place from a member. Crazy!!! So these will be some random weeks to come!
